The invention is a sports racket comprising transversal strings and longitudinal strings of low aerodynamic drag, the strings having surface indentations that lock the strings with each other at the string crossing points and maintain the strings properly oriented with respect to the racket frame and air-flow to minimize aerodynamic resistance during the swinging motion of the sports racket. The invention includes a first fixing means for attachment of an individual strings to the frame of the sports racket, said fixing means gripping the string in a purely radial direction to avoid slippage of the string with respect to the frame during, and after, the stringing process, and a second fixing means allowing the insertion of a flexible, resilient material to absorb, store, and return to the ball, part of the kinetic energy of the ball during impact with the racket. |
