PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display device capable of displaying a preferred list of still image data and data groups, in particular, those containing video data for organization, browsing, or analysis. SOLUTION: The image display device comprises an attribute-identifying portion 41 for discriminating whether the image data contain moving or still images, and extracting still images from moving image data, when the image data are determined as containing moving images; an image feature obtaining portion 42 for obtaining the amount of image features, from image data of still images extracted by the attribute-identifying portion 41 and image data of still images discriminated by the attribute-identifying portion 41; an arrangement position determining portion 43 for determining the arrangement position in the display area, based on the quantity of features obtained by the image feature obtaining portion 42; and a display image creating portion 45 for creating reduced still images for display, based on the arrangement positions and a display area determined by the arrangement position determining portion 43 and displaying a list of reduced images generated in the display area.
