PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a stabilizer with high rigidity capable of obtaining sufficient locking force even though a lance is locked on a rear end of the stabilizer. SOLUTION: In a terminal metal fitting 1 having a square tube shaped body 10 extending in the front and back direction, and the stabilizer 30 capable of guiding an insertion movement of the body 10 by inserting into an insertion groove arranged inside a cavity when the body 10 is inserted into the cavity arranged in a connector housing from its rear side, the stabilizer 30 is in a shape swelling from an outer surface of an inner wall 14A of an upper wall 14, and extends a left end edge 14L side of the inner wall 14A to a right end edge 14R side in a cantilever-like state as a base end. A locking section 31 is arranged on an extending end of the stabilizer 30, the locking section 31 and a locked section (opening edge of elongated hole 14H) capable of locking in the front and back direction are arranged on a right end edge 14R of the inner wall 14A, and a forward movement of an extending end section of the stabilizer 30 is regulated by making a front edge of the locking section 31 lock with the locked section.
