PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a low slag-based sintered ore by which a shatter index (SI) of≥90% and a reduction degradation index (RDI) of≤35% can be maintained and a deterioration in the reducibility index (RI) can be prevented as well. SOLUTION: When a sintered ore of a low slag component containing, by mass, 4.0 to 5.0% SiO<SB>2</SB>and 7 to 9% CaO is produced, a part of powdery ferrous ore and a part of a carbonaceous material are beforehand mixed, the mixture is granulated to form a preliminary granule (A) having an apparent density of≥2.7 g/cm<SP>3</SP>and a grain size of≥5 mm, further, the remainder of the above blending raw material is mixed, the mixture is granulated to form a preliminary granule (B), an then, the preliminary granules (A) and (B) are joined on a conveyance line, and are fed to a sintering machine.
