PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation system that enables appropriate setting of a destination. SOLUTION: When an arbitrary position on a polygon in a map displayed on a display screen of a display device 51 is designated by an operator as the destination, according to an input operation of the operator to an input operation part 14, or others, a navigation processing part 42 retrieves the name of a facility and the location of the facility (e. g. coordinates of a parking lot provided in the facility or those of an entrance of the facility or the like) associated with the name of the facility, which are stored beforehand in a facility data storage part 13, by using the name of the facility corresponding to the polygon, which is stored beforehand in a map data storage part 12. Thereby the processing part extracts the location of the facility associated with the name of the facility corresponding to the polygon, which is designated by the operator, and sets the extracted location of facility as the destination.
