PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively suppress a moving image false contour while suppressing an increase in power consumption of a plasma display device. SOLUTION: The plasma display device includes: a panel on which discharge cells each having a data electrode are arranged; a data electrode drive circuit for driving the data electrodes; and an image signal processing circuit 41 for executing a signal process on an image signal for supply to the data electrode drive circuit. The image signal processing circuit 41 executes a first signal process on an image signal to be displayed in a center region of the panel image region and a second signal process on a signal to be displayed in a peripheral region of the image region.
