PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To execute efficiency enhancement/labor saving for test by checking that each of LPRM detectors is normal which are chosen by an RBM unit based on chosen control rods. SOLUTION: This power range monitor tester includes a digital signal output part 8 for transmitting a control rod choice signal to the RBM unit 13, an LPRM signal control part 14 for calculating imitation signals for all LPRM detectors disposed in a reactor core as severally unique LPRM detector imitation signals so as to prevent duplication, a signal generation/output part 5 outputting the imitation signals from the control part 14 to an LPRM unit 11 and to an APRM unit 12, and an output signal determination part 15 for therein storing the correspondence of the respective control rods, LPRM detector signals chosen by the RBM unit 13, and RBM values, to determine whether the choosing function of the RBM unit 13 is satisfactory or not based on the RBM values received from the RBM unit 13 in choosing the respective control rods and on chosen LPRM values.
