WATER-BASED INK FOR INKJET RECORDING

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide water-based ink for inkjet recording excellent in print density and discharge characteristics, and an aqueous dispersion used for it.

SOLUTION: The aqueous dispersion comprises a pigment and polymer particles. The polymer particles are obtained when a monomer mixture containing 25-99 wt.% of an aromatic group-containing monomer is polymerized using a redox polymerization initiator. Viscosity (measured at 25°C by an E-type viscometer) of the emulsion (40 wt.% solid content) including the polymer particles is 1-80 mPas. The water-based ink for inkjet recording contains the aqueous dispersion.
