PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of a developing device that an air current generated around a developing roller by developer carried on the developing roller is exhausted from an exhaust port through a filter, because toner is splashed if the air current is exhausted to the outside of the device as it is, that the filter is easily clogged by the toner suspended from the vicinity of a developer storing part and other parts and the lifetime of the filter is shortened, because the developer storing part is directly connected to the exhaust port in the conventional system. SOLUTION: Magnetic poles are respectively provided on an upstream side and a downstream side of an area facing a gas channel in the rotating direction of the developing roller, and a case is made proximate to the developing roller at a position facing each of the magnetic poles, then sealing for gas which flows in and is discharged is performed by utilizing napping by the developer.
