The driving wheel (1) has a running casing (2) which is operatively connected to a traction mechanism. A hub (3) is connected in rotationally fixed manner to a drive axle of an auxiliary unit. A damping device (4) with a spring store (5) is arranged so as to act between the running casing and the hub for reducing rotary vibrations. A support element (14) is arranged in the area of the circumferential extension of a spring element (7) between the ends (8,9) of the spring element. The spring element is radially supported by a guide element (15).
