<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress an effect to the infrared optical communication of an interference spectrum caused by power-on of a television set. <P>SOLUTION: A video recording device 10 performs clocking by a clocking counter section 19 and compares clocking time with reference time 21, upon receiving a signal for notifying power-on from the television set through an HDMI interface 23. While the clocking time is less than the reference time 21, the video recording device 10 performs processing for reducing gain related to the light reception of a light reception unit 12 via an amplification gain control section 14 for preventing the light reception unit 12 from being easily affected by the noise of the interference spectrum. When the clocking time is more than the reference time 21, the noise level of the interference spectrum is also reduced, thus allowing the video recording device 10 to restore the gain of the light reception unit 12 to ensure prescribed infrared communication performance. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
