Oxyburner

An oxyburner comprising a refractory block and a fuel injector surrounded by one or more oxidizer injectors, whereby the refractory block defines a burner chamber having a cone angle of 2° to 4°, whereby the fuel injector extends into the burner chamber over a length of no more than 0.35 times the length of the burner chamber and whereby the one or more oxidizer injectors extend into the burner chamber no further than the fuel injector; the assembly of the oxyburner and its use, in particular in glass melting furnaces.
