Described is an improved coin safe for a pay phone cashbox, of the type that has a cashbox for collecting money previous to perform a call. The coin safe (4) includes a displacing metal plate having a plurality of apertures and a first flange (8) located at the front portion thereof which simultaneously has a plurality of orifices (14), the metal plate also including a second flange (10) located at one side portion thereof that has and inwardly setback (11) finish; an engine (16) fixed on top of the coin safe (4) and arranged with regard to the opening of the displacing metal plate (7), the engine (16) actuating a blocking plate (18) of the displacing metal plate (7) and being controlled by a smart card (19); the invention also comprises a profile (21) attached to one side portion of the coin safe to which a lock (9) fixed to the displacing metal plate (7) is mounted. |
