<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seat belt device having a high occupant protecting effect by adjusting pulled amount of a seat belt according to physique and weight of an occupant and closely adhering the seat belt to the occupant. <P>SOLUTION: This seat belt device 1 comprises the seat belt 6 for restraining the occupant on a seat, an actuator 40 for the seat belt 6 for winding and pulling the seat belt 6, a seat belt pulled amount detection device 41 capable of detecting the pulled amount of the seat belt 6, an occupant detection device 3 capable of determining an occupant state on the seat, and a seat belt control device 5 for determining whether or not the pulled amount of the seat belt 6 is proper in relation to the occupant based on seat belt pulled amount information transmitted from the seat belt pulled amount detection device 41 and occupant information transmitted from the occupant detection device 3 and for driving the actuator 40 for the seat belt 6 when determining that the pulled amount is not proper to adjust the pulled amount of the seat belt 6. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
