<p>Disclosed is a low-cost flexible metal laminate having excellent flexibility, folding resistance characteristics, heat resistance reliability, moisture absorption characteristics and dimensional accuracy. Also disclosed is a low-cost flexible printed board. Specifically disclosed is a flexible metal laminate wherein a metal foil is arranged on at least one side of a heat-resistant resin film which is composed of a polyamideimide resin and has a two-layer structure. This flexible metal laminate is characterized in that one layer of the heat-resistant resin film is composed of a resin layer having an elastic modulus of not more than 4800 MPa, wherein (a) a monomer component having a naphthalene group is contained in an amount not less than a specific mol%; (b) the molar ratio between imide bonds and amide bonds is from 99/1 to 60/40; and (c) the imidization degree of imide bonds is not less than 50%. The flexible metal laminate is also characterized in that the other layer of the heat-resistant resin film is composed of a low moisture-expandable resin layer having a moisture expansion coefficient of not more than 20 ppm.</p>
