The present invention relates to a car lift for construction work, and more particularly to a car lift for construction work which can detect the total load and the biased load of a cage which allows the car to enter the construction work area, and ascends, descends and guides the cage precisely in a vertical direction so as to prevent shaking and rotation, and can fix the car in the cage. A car lift for construction work includes a lower frame which is provided to the underground, an upper frame which is provided on the ground above the lower frame, a support frame which is provided on the upper frame, a hoist which is provided to the support frame, a hoist wire which is provided to the hoist, and a cage which is coupled to the hoist wire and vertically ascends and descends between the upper frame and the lower frame, wherein a load detector which is coupled to an end of the hoist wire having passed the hoist and the cage and detects total load and biased load of the cage is further provided to the support frame, and a plurality of guide wires guiding the cage in a vertical direction is provided between the support frame and the lower frame, and at the same time, a tension regulator regulating tension of the guide wire is provided to the support frame.
