METHOD FOR LIQUEFYING RUBBERS AND RUBBER-CONTAINING WASTE MATERIALS

The invention relates to recycling conventional and specific polydiene rubbers (types of) and rubber-containing waste materials based on said rubbers, in particular tyre rubber and waste tyres. The inventive method involves liquefying rubber and rubber-containing waste by bringing them into contact with nitrogen oxide N2O in such a way that viscous-flow or liquid products are formed. The process is carried out at a temperature of 100-500°C and the nitrogen oxide pressure of 1-200 atm. For a contact process, nitrogen oxide can be substituted for a mixture of N2O with diluting gases in the form of inert gases, C1-C4 alkanes or mixtures thereof.
