The invention relates to a cylinder head for an internal combustion engine, that comprises, at the outlet of an exhaust duct in a cylinder under a housing (20) for inserting a valve seat, a first chamfer (21) ending in a cylindrical surface (22), the cylindrical surface (22) ending in a crescent-shaped second chamfer (23) extending along an arc angle such that it is oriented at its maximum width towards the centre of the cylinder in order to increase the gas flow section between the valve seat and the head of the exhaust valve, and to thereby improve the exhaust perviousness.
