<p>A deep sea fishing diver (100) according to the present invention includes a body (110) having front (112a) and rear (112b) ends, opposed top (113a) and bottom (113b) surfaces, and opposed sides (112c, 112d) that extend away from the top surface (113a). The body (110) includes a configuration that defines a center of gravity that is coincident with a center of effort. The diver (100) includes a balance bar (120) having forward (121) and rearward (122) portions extending upward from the top surface (113a) with a connecting portion (123). The balance bar (120) is configured such that a fishing line (12) attached thereto is movable between ready (12a) and tripped (12b) configurations. Gravity and current forces acting on the center of effort are collinear with a force between the fishing line (12) and balance bar (120).</p> |
