<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an array substrate which enhances display quality, and a display panel having the same. <P>SOLUTION: The array substrate includes: a gate line GL; a data line DL crossing the gate line GL; a first switching element 10 connected to the gate line GL and the data line DL; a pixel electrode being electrically connected to the first switching element 10 and formed in a pixel area and having opening patterns 172, 252 formed thereon; and a light-blocking wire 122 formed on the region with the opening patterns 172, 252 formed thereon, and including a convex-concave pattern.
