PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mounting mechanism for reliably holding a device body to a head and reducing discomfort due to pressing force. SOLUTION: The head mounted device used by mounting the device body to a user's head has: a frontal region pressing section for pressing the frontal region of a head of a wearer to hold the device body to the head of the wearer; a back-of-head pressing section for pressing the back of the head; a temporal region pressing section for pressing both the temporal regions of the head, respectively; and a side of back-of-head pressing section for pressing the sides of the back of head between the temporal regions and the back of the head. A pressing force generation mechanism allows the back-of-head pressing section and the side of back-of-head pressing sections to generate the pressing force. In this case, when the head mounted device is mounted, the pressing force at the side of back-of-head pressing sections by the pressing force generation mechanism is larger than that at the back-of-head pressing section by the pressing force generation mechanism.
