IMAGE PROJECTION DEVICE AND STEREOSCOPIC IMAGE PROJECTION SYSTEM

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image projection device and a stereoscopic image projection system capable of synthesizing and projecting image readout light beams from four image display elements and capable of making short and uniform a distance from the four image display elements to a projection lens.

SOLUTION: A PBS 5 outputs in the same direction a green image readout light beam and a red image readout light beam incident from different directions. A PBS 8 outputs in the same direction a green image readout light beam and a blue image readout light beam incident from the different direction. A PBS 11 outputs in the same direction the green image readout light beam and the red image readout light beam from the PBS 5 and the green image readout light beam and the blue image readout light beam from the PBS 8 incident from the different directions. A projection lens 12 synthesizes the two green image readout light beams, the red image readout light beam and the blue image readout light beam output from the PBS 11 and projects the light beam.
