PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable avoiding the deterioration in reception performance by highly accurately estimating the characteristics of a transmission path. SOLUTION: A shift amount offset is updated by a predetermined increase or decrease, and a noise quantity included in a signal after compensating transmission path distortion in each timing is detected. It turns out that a path Q is always included in a band of an interpolation filter having a position in sections where the shift amount offset ranges from b to f as a center position, and processing for removing the transmission path distortion is executed, including the component of the path Q. Using b as a shift amount offset on the left end of a section having the smaller noise quantity and f as a shift amount offset on the right end, the optimum shift amount offset and a delay spread estimation value are calculated. A frequency shift amount is generated using the optimum shift amount offset, and an interpolation filter is selected on the basis of the delay spread estimation value.
