PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary die cutter surely cutting a workpiece with a metallic foil without producing hairs and burrs. SOLUTION: This rotary die cutter is used to cut the workpiece by inserting the workpiece between a die cut roll with a cutter die 22 and an anvil roll with smoothly formed outer peripheral surface. The cutter die 22 comprises, in the cross section along the projecting direction P, a pair of side wall parts 23, 23 approaching each other toward the end in the projecting direction P and a flat part 24 which is positioned at the end in the projecting direction P and which so extends as to be orthogonal to the projecting direction P. The angleαformed by the projecting direction P and the side wall part 23 is set within the range of 0°≤α≤20°, and the angleβformed by the pair of side wall parts 23, 23 is set within the range of 10°≤β≤40°.
