PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a luggage compartment light having a simple structure of high safety which can be easily attached to a luggage compartment of a van type transport vehicle and is consistently lit even under a low-temperature condition. SOLUTION: The luggage compartment light comprises a substantially strip-shaped base member 12, one or a plurality of surface-mount type LEDs 14 mounted on a surface of the base member 12 via a substrate 18, and a thin cover member 16 to cover the surface of the base member 12 with the LEDs 14 being mounted thereon.
