PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate a stable power supply voltage while improving reliability by performing the protecting operation of a series regulator circuit outside a main loop. SOLUTION: An input current adjusting part 2 for performing control such as current restriction by various protecting operations is arranged in the pre-stage of a transistor 4 for regulation as the output element of a series regulator circuit. Thus, it is possible to simplify the circuit configurations of a main series regulator circuit, and to sharply improve the degree of freedom of phase characteristic adjustment, and to make a power source IC1 stably operate, and to perform precise protecting operation control.
