PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a turbine wheel capable of increasing the natural frequency of the whole turbine wheel and increasing the allowable rotation speed (maximum rotation speed) of the turbine wheel. SOLUTION: The turbine wheel 10 includes a boss 11 and a plurality of blades 12 disposed radially on a surface 11a of the boss 11. Fluid that has flown in toward the center of the turbine wheel from nozzles arranged in such a manner as to surround the outer circumference of the turbine wheel changes its flowing direction so as to flow out in the axial direction, whereby the turbine wheel 10 rotates around an axis C of rotation. In a region where the height of each blade 12 is high and centrifugal stress generated in a root of the blade 12 is large, there is formed a padded part 13 for lowering the height of the blade.
