PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact optical scanner requiring no optical detector in addition to a swing body at a different part. SOLUTION: The optical scanner which scans a light beam emitted from a light source has: a supporting part 107; swing bodies 101 and 104 swingably supported by the supporting part around a swing axis; and a driving means for driving the swing bodies. At least one optical detector 108 is provided at the supporting part 107, and a light reflection device is provided on at least one swing body 101. When the driving means swings the swing bodies, the light beam is reflected and a region to be scanned is scanned, a reflection part is provided in the region to be scanned so as to guide the light beam having a prescribed scanning angle onto the optical detector 108.
