摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic resonance imaging apparatus etc. capable of reducing artifact independent of photographing conditions. SOLUTION: In a resultant magnetic field distribution obtained by a static magnetic field generated by a static magnetic field coil and a magnetic field distribution of a gradient magnetic field coil, a polarity related to gradient of a gradient magnetic field inclined along a first direction and composited with the static magnetic field generated by the magnet is selected according to the photographing position in order to prevent generation of artifact generated by presence of same magnetic field strength at a position apart in the first direction within an photographing sensitivity area. Concretely, the polarity of the gradient magnetic field Gs is controlled so that the polarity of the photographing position relating to the first direction and a polarity of the gradient magnetic field at the photographing position are opposite to each other.
