PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for polymeric compound which can manufacture a non-halogen based polymeric compound efficiently. SOLUTION: The manufacturing method for a polymeric compound includes a process to make a halogen-containing polymer having halogen atoms at the terminations of a molecular chain react through such a procedure that a processing agent and the second metal catalyst are added to a system where the halogen-containing polymer and the first metal catalyst exist.
