PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adjust the densities of a latent image portion and a background portion in a ground tint image, using a ground tint image patch. SOLUTION: A plurality of ground tint image patches are generated, by fixing density parameters of latent image portions and making density parameters of background portions different, respectively, and a test printing image in which the plurality of generated ground tint image patches are arranged, is transmitted to a printer. A ground tint image is generated by a density parameter, used for generating one of the plurality of ground tint image patches arranged in the test printing image. In generating the ground tint image, it is based on user's selection that the ground tint image is to be generated by a density parameter used for generating, which from among the plurality of ground tint image patches arranged in the test printing image.
