PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately and efficiently determine the existence or nonexistence of abnormality of a rolling bearing 4. SOLUTION: An arithmetic processing unit 2 branches a signal showing the vibration detected by a detecting device 1 into at least two signals. The unit performs determination of the existence or nonexistence of damage of the rolling bearing 4, as well as determination of a damaged member, based on one of these signals, and also performs determination of the amount of a foreign substance mixing in a lubricant, based on the other signal. Based on the results of these determinations at least, the existence or nonexistence of the abnormality of the rolling bearing 4 is determined and the result is output to an output device 3.
