PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an eraser which can easily erase (remove) a toner printing on a paper surface by a dry type copying machine, a printed part on a paper surface by a printing ink of printer, a hand-writing on a paper surface by a ball-point pen or the like, and a fixed substance (a deposit) on a surface such as a fouling adhering to a cooking section of a gas range or its circumference, or the like, suppresses a rough uncomfortable feeling in an erasing operation, suppresses a stain on paper due to adhesion of a paper fiber waste, suppresses a falling of a smooth erasing feeling, and also, prevents a darkening of a paper surface (surface to be rubbed), or a breakage of paper. SOLUTION: In the eraser, at least the front side of a soft and easily wearable eraser is opened, and a bar-form body of which the front part is a soft elastomer and the rear part is a hard cylindrical body is arranged in the opening of the eraser. A hard-to-wear surface is installed with hard and fine grains on the front side surface of the soft elastomer and the hard-to-wear surface is protruded forward from the front end of the eraser.
