<p>A marine pipelaying system and method for installing an offshore pipeline that includes one or more accessories. The system comprises a vessel (1), a pipeline launch device (10) for launching the pipeline (2) from the vessel (1) in the direction of the seabed, and a clamping device (30) adapted to support the weight of the previously launched pipeline.
The system further includes an accessory handling device, which is adapted to receive and support an accessory (40) and allow displacement therof between receiving position, wherein the accessory (40) is received by the handling device and a pipeline connecting position, wherein the accessory (40) can be connected to the pipeline (2).</p> |
