<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device state control system that suitably saves power throughout a network and realizes a quick response to a sudden printing demand. <P>SOLUTION: The operating state of network printers 200 is switchable to either a warm-up-ended state or a sleep state.
