<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the possibility that a user selects an incorrect processing operation. <P>SOLUTION: A multifunction printer prints an index sheet 70 for printing including a band 71 of a color corresponding to a print operation selected by the user on an operating panel, a thumbnail display part 73 indicating the content of each image file stored in a memory card inserted into a slot, and a mark part 74a through which the user can select an image file being printed among respective image files. Subsequently, the multifunction printer scans the index sheet 70 after an image file being printed is selected by the user by painting the mark part 74a, recognizes that the processing operation is to make printing from the color of the band 71, and then prints the selected image file.
