[Also in Group XXVI] A filter cartridge is adapted to be held against an annular shoulder and is mounted in a casing 11 provided with a boss 23 having a threaded bore 22 communicating with the outlet bore 20 and supporting a perforated member 30 having a sealing plug 40 screwed into the opposite end. The inner tubular member 71 of the filter cartridge is fitted at each end with a sealing member 60, 60<SP>1</SP> the member 60 engaging an annular shoulder 24 on the boss 23. Within the member 60<SP>1</SP> a sealing washer 48 between washers 47, 49 is expanded into contact with the member 60<SP>1</SP> by means of a spring 50 the other end of which engages a washer 53 supported against a shaft 51 of a handle member 52. The filter cartridge is provided with a handle 82 having ends shaped as shown in Fig. 5 passing through the top plate of the filter element. The casing 11 is provided with an internal sleeve 101 which also serves to locate the cap 90. The cap 90 and casing 11 are provided with curved flanges 13, 93 with an interposed sealing washer 99, the cap 90 and easing 11 being clamped together by a band 110 comprising three segments hinged at two points and screwed together at the third. |
