PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently acquire frequency band information on a receivable physical channel. SOLUTION: An MPU 11 of a digital broadcasting receiver has: a channel recording section 112 for recording frequency band information 1 that is determined to be receivable by a reception credibility determination section 111 in a reception channel storage section 122; a frequency acquisition section 113 for acquiring NIT information included in television broadcasting of the frequency band 1 that is determined to be receivable by the reception credibility determination section 111 and for extracting frequency information to be determined that is frequency band information corresponding to a physical channel of which reception credibility should be determined from the acquired NIT information; and a frequency substitution section 114 for changing the extracted frequency information to be determined to the frequency information to be determined prestored in the frequency storage section 121 for recording in the frequency storage section 121.
