PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a branched polymer comprising at least one polymerizable double bond, and its production method. SOLUTION: The method for producing a (meth)acrylate functionalized polymer comprises reacting a monofunctional vinylic monomer, 0.3-100% w/w polyfunctional vinylic monomer and 0.0001-50% w/w chain transfer agent, and terminating the polymerization reaction before 80-98% conversion. The branched polymer comprising at least one polymerizable double bond consists of residues of (i) a monofunctional monomer having one polymerizable double bond per molecule, (ii) 0.3-100% w/w polyfunctional monomer having at least two polymerizable double bonds per molecule, (iii) 0.0001-50% w/w chain transfer agent, and optionally (iv) a free-radical, polymerization initiator.
