<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the influence of development by one developer carrier on development by the other developer carrier, in a developing device having two developer carriers and transferring developer from one developer carrier to the other developer carrier. <P>SOLUTION: The developing device 10 includes: a first developer carrier 11 which holds the developer, conveys the developer to a first developing area A1 and develops a latent image on an image carrier 1 in the first developing area A1 by the developer; a second developer carrier 12 which receives the developer after passing through the first developing area A1 from the first developer carrier 11, conveys the developer to a second developing area A2 and develops the latent image on the image carrier 1 in the second developing area A2 by the developer; and a stirring member 13 which mechanically stirs the developer in a developer conveying path from the first developing area A1 to the second developing area A2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
