PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce cracking of low melting point glass as much as possible by preventing a cylinder portion of a cap main body from unreasonably deforming due to contact of a corner portion of an electrode for resistance welding. SOLUTION: Disclosed is the optical cap component 1 comprising the bottomed cylindrical cap main body 2 having a flange portion 2c that the electrode 7 for resistance welding abuts against at a bottom portion of the cylinder portion 2b, and a spherical lens 3 which is fixed to a lid portion 2a of the cap main body 2 with low melting point glass 4 to seal a through-hole 2a1 formed in the lid portion 2a, wherein a clearance 5 is formed where a corner portion 7a of the electrode 7 for resistance welding is positioned in a connection portion 2d between an outer peripheral surface of the cylinder portion 2b and a top surface of the flange portion 2c.
