PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a separator capable of preventing blow-by gas and oil from flowing back into a separator body from an oil discharge port and miniaturizing a mounted object. SOLUTION: This separator 1 is a cyclone type separator formed by inserting an oil discharge port 15a of an oil discharge passage 16 continuous with the separator body 10, into an oil reservoir part 6a. The oil discharge passage is provided with back flow restraining means (baffle plates 17) for restraining the back flow of oil in the oil reservoir part. It is preferable to provide the back flow restraining means with an inclined baffle surface 17a hindering oil in the oil reservoir part from flowing back in the oil discharge passage to guide the oil downward.
