<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide meringue containing cellooligosaccharide and albumen, having low calories, being suppressed of syneresis and stabilized in foaming properties, and to provide food that contains the meringue. <P>SOLUTION: The meringue having low calorie which is suppressed in syneresis and stabilized in foaming properties is obtained, by adding cellooligosaccharide to albumen.
