PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating width adjustment device which can easily adjust the coating width of a curtain coater. SOLUTION: This coating width adjustment device for adjusting the blow-off width of the coating material from the die 1, is of such a construction that a die 1 has a manifold 2 for a coating material to flow in and a slit 3 which communicates with the manifold 2 and opens downward. A spacer 4 with a width corresponding with a blow-off width is inserted into both end parts of the slit 3 and wrapped with a cover 5 from outside so as to allow the inner end parts of the spacer 4 occupy a coincident position. In addition, the spacer 4 is an elastic plastic sheet with a smaller thickness than the opening of the slit 3, and is of such a shape that it is inserted from the lower end of the slit 3 in a zigzag fashion, while it is folded alternately a plurality of times, and further the remainder of the spacer 4 excepting the inserted part is lifted and the end of the remainder is secured to the outside surface of the die 1. Besides, the cover 5 is a thin and pliable plastic sheet, and as such is secured to the outside surface of the die 1 by wrapping the lower end of the slit 3 with the cover 5 and lifting both ends of the slit 3.
