PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multipurpose automatic lifting step system equipped along a wall surface of a stairway, to be used for personal boarding, baggage transportation, or the like. SOLUTION: The multipurpose automatic lifting step system is characterized in that: a constantly pressing surface chain attachment 114 of a disconnection detection roller is configured at a continuous chain pitch of 30 cm on the rising side of a chain pulling bracket 16 at a pulling chain and at a distal end of a lifting step fixing bracket 92; management inspection for disconnection detection is facilitated; a hand supporter is configured as in Fig. 10, Fig. 11, Fig. 12 for safety of independent boarding; and a self-propelled lifting step configuration is introduced and manually swiveling detachable bench equipment for getting on and off is provided at a getting on/off end safety position to also serve for baggage transportation, to utilize a narrow space at a lifting end.
