<p>Structural arrangement for upgrading windows and doors, comprising an outer frame (1) secured to the wall structure of a building and a sash frame (2) disposed inside the outer frame (1), the sash frame (2) being generally adapted for freely abutting against and separating from the outer frame (2), where both the outer frame (6) and the sash frame (3) have a usually rectangular closed shape, and where the sash frame (2) abuts against the outer frame (3) along at least one but preferably two abutting surfaces in the closed state of the window; with the original outer frame (1) / sash frame (2) assembly being complemented by a second frame (3), where the second frame (3) is disposed inside the sash frame (2) and where the second frame expediently (3) comprises a prefabricated panel (6) with considerable heat insulation capability; with a portion of the original sash frame (2) being removed such that the inside clearance thereof increases, and with the complementary second frame (3) having the same shape as the sash frame (2) having increased inside clearance, the second frame (3) having outside dimensions conforming to the inside dimensions of the sash frame (2) to allow close fitting of the second frame (3) to the sash frame (2) thereto, where the sash frame (2) and the second frame (3) are joined by fasteners and/or adhesive bonding.</p> |
