PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the conventional problem of a restricted operation during a recording standby condition from a prearranged recording start time, and to wait for the reception of a broadcast program start identification code and an ID for a desired program stored in program-related information. SOLUTION: When a CPU 18 determines from character strings of a recording reservation list and an EPG that the broadcasting start time of the program of interest for prearranged recording is positioned due to prolongation of a preceding professional baseball program broadcast, the CPU records the program of interest for prearranged recording longer by a maximum extension time acquired from a description of character strings indicating the maximum extension time on the EPG.
