The method involves determining present and future classifications, where the present classification comprises a present filling level value of operating resource reserves (4, 5) of a vehicle e.g. passenger car, and an associated present driven distance point, and the future classification comprises a future filling level value of the reserves, and an associated future driven distance point. The classifications are displayed as a function of the filling level values based on the driven distance points.
