PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processor capable of determining the attribute of a user from a document, or the like, and to provide a sound output device, a symbol display device, an image forming apparatus, a user attribute determination method, and a program. SOLUTION: The information processor 111 determines a group (equivalent to a section in each user attribute) to which the creator of character data 20 (including symbols, numerical values, and pictographs) in a feature category for featuring a human being by a plurality of groups belongs to. The information processor 111 comprises: a character data input means 112 for inputting character data 20; a character string storage means 131 for storing a character string corresponding to the group; and an attribute determination means 22 for determining a group to which a creator in a prescribed feature category belongs by referring to the group of the character string storage means corresponding to a character string included in the character data input by the character data input means.
