PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform suitable processing when a user inputs an address which was registered in an address table in the past but is not registered in the address table at present due to its edition. SOLUTION: When a FAX number registered in the address table 34 is edited, the edition is controlled so that the unedited FAX number is stored, and when a FAX number inputted from a U/I coincides with the unedited FAX number, predetermined processing is executed (306, 312, 314).
